Memory Lane: A Whiskey, Honey, and Lemon Cocktail
This classic style blend of whiskey, bitters, honey shrub and fresh lemon juice is sure to leave you feeling old-fashioned. Take a step down Memory Lane!
A Classic Whiskey Cocktail with a Vintage Madmen Twist…. Oh, yes! I’ll have another!
I have a new design client with very traditional taste who loves antiques and fine art. My team works on 12 houses at a time now and it’s never the same style for any of client, so that’s a whole lotta knowing your peeps and what they dig. This classic approach is one we haven’t tackled in a while and it’s kind of nice getting to scour through antique auctions and beautiful consignment stores for heirloom pieces. While looking for art and accessories at a local consignment store, I stumbled across some vintage gold-rimmed champagne coupes (the wide rimmed open mouth kind of champagne glass unlike today’s flute style). I have been looking for a set for years and love these!
The combination of hunting through beautiful old antique shops and these drop dead gorgeous “Mad Men” glasses made me think of a classic style cocktail with an antique note. What better name than “Memory Lane”?
