Refreshingly Simple! The Pomegranate Madras Cocktail
No matter how slight your liquor cabinet may be, most likely you will always have these three items on hand. So a good madras cocktail is never far away!
I’m all for a well stocked liquor cabinet and very inventive cocktails but as you work up to having 8 types of liqueurs and all sorts of mixers, sometimes it’s nice to jump off the creative cocktail carousel and go back to a tried and true old fashioned staple! Sometimes I just want a great cocktail without having to put too much thought into it, ya know?
Today’s Cocktail Friday is a fresh springtime take one of my favorites… The Madras! Never heard of it? Shame!! It’s a simple and refreshing mixture of cranberry juice (please try to only use 100% juice), fresh orange juice, and vodka. No matter how slight your liquor cabinet may be, most likely you will always have these three items on hand. So a good cocktail is never far away! But today…heck we can get a little creative right? To make today’s Pomegranate Madras, I’m substituting pomegranate juice for the cranberry. I know what you’re thinking… “don’t get too wild now, Mandy!” I’ll try to restrain myself, ha!
