A good cocktail is one you want to sip and linger over... kind of like an "Afternoon Stroll". Time to take a minute, enjoy the end of your week and have a grapefruit bourbon cocktail! I actually know a girl who can hook you up with the perfect libation.... Wink Wink.
Afternoon Stroll
Today’s Cocktail Friday is a delicate blend of Four Roses Bourbon, St Germain, Grapefruit & Bitters. It’s actually very simple and made with staple stuff we all should have in our bars at home! YES! ALL OF YOU! Four Roses Bourbon Yellow Label has won countless awards and is truly the most loved Bourbon, world wide, because it goes well in any mixed drink. Let’s just say it plays well with others, kind of like the happy-go-lucky kid on the playground.
Add to that the pretty girl who’s always invited to the party, St. Germain. An elderflower liqueur, St. Germain is easy to mix with Champagne or Prosecco for holiday cocktails and acts as a flowery sweetener to today’s drink. I finish it all off with both Grapefruit Bitters and fresh squeezed grapefruit juice. Yes, yes, I love grapefruit. I’ve gone to the meetings and have accepted my situation with open arms. Grapefruit & Bourbon might be my favorite flavor combo when I want something quick at the end of a long day.
Which is why the Afternoon Stroll might be the perfect little cocktail!

Ingredients
- 2 oz Roses Bourbon
- 3/4 oz St. Germaine Elderflower Liqueur
- 5 dashes Grapefruit Bitters
- Small Grapefruit (slice)
- Ice (crushed)
Instructions
- Mix bourbon, elderflower liqueur and bitters in a glass.
- Pour over crushed ice into a pretty glass and garnish with grapefruit.
