Cocktail Friday: Ginger Lime Daiquiri

The best cocktails start at the classics! Our Ginger Lime Daiquiri is a zippy remake of one of my favorite drinks. Made with homemade ginger-lime simple syrup and golden rum, it's seriously perfect for sharing with friends.

A classic Daiquiri is one of the best and easiest cocktails to make. I’m not talking about the overly fruity, Spiked Kool-Aid meets Slushy on Bourbon Street frozen kind. I’m talking about a  beautifully simple cocktail with a few great ingredients served over ice or martini style. There are countless ways you can make this once you’ve mastered the Classic Daiquiri Version of good white rum, lime juice, and sugar. A favorite of the famed Key West meets Cuba author, The Hemmingway Daiquiri is deliciously infused with grapefruit (we know how much I love Grapefruit Cocktails).

TIP: A Simple Syrup really is SIMPLE! Equal parts water and sugar brought to a boil to dissolve the sugar and allowed to cool. You can flavor it any way you like (herbs, citrus, spices, or a combo). We feature a lemon simple syrup in Bright Lights, Big Citadelle and a rosemary syrup in Rosemary Rush

Our Ginger Lime Daiquiri has gorgeous golden rum, King’s Ginger Liqueur, a deliciously simple Ginger Lime Simple Syrup and fresh lime juice. Really fresh, not complicated and a zinger on the tastebuds!
